hello w341(: lets strive to stay a united and awesome cg for God yeah(:
UNITY=
1)communication
2) team work
3) having the same vision/goal

remember what rachel told us about communications yesterday?(: communication is the most important thing if we want to have unity in the cg. so here are the 5 levels..

1) cliche conversation
" hello, how are you?"
2) reporting facts of others
" look! she wore a hairband."
3) sharing about my ideas and judgements
" eh wenkai, i think i wan to quit school and be a power ranger!"
-francis[LOL]
4) sharing about my feelings and emotions
"i feel that you did really well today."
5) total truthful and open communications
" actually, im going through alot... can you pray with me?"

so, lets all communicate more with eachother k, and move on from level 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and to 5!just like the story in the bible, the Towel of Babel[ Genesis 11:1-9] with good communication, being united with eachother, whatever we want to do for God, nothing and no one can stop us(:

Hello everyone! 2009 has started and it's already Feb :)

I was looking thru my old sermon notes today and I came across one of Pastor Phil Pringle's sermon on Servanthood, so I thought it'll be good to share it with you guys!

Jesus said in Matthew 20:28 "Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." If Jesus can serve, we too should serve as we want to grow to be more like Him :)

There are 7 Qualities of Servanthood:

#1. Willing

It is said very frequently in cg or during church service that we serve others not because we are told to, but because we want to :) Get willing in the things we do, and serve the people around us with a bright smile!

#2. Excellence

Be the best, do the best! Do things wholeheartedly and the best we can :) Being sloppy isn't good ):

#3. Swift

Be quick in the things you do, and don't keep people waiting. :)

#4. Respectful

Honor EVERYONE! (Even those you don't like!) Honor has the power to greatly enhance your life :)

#5. Humble

Do WHATEVER it takes to get the job done... go the extra mile!

#6. Works Hard

Don't be lazy and procrastinate, thus pushing the job for another day. Get cracking once you have a job to do :)

#7. Unselfish

Doing things for others at your own expense instead of making yourself "look good" :) It means to serve others even though you know that you might not get anything back in return.

Let's all be a person that serves... just like how Jesus has come to the world to serve :) It can be meeting up with a member or a new friend before service and go to church together, or even giving a cup of water to someone!

Keep on keeping on for the Lord and let's grow more and more like Jesus everyday yeah :)

HEY EVERYONE!

WE'RE HAVING OUR BLOCK PARTY TMR! :D

It'll be 730pm, tomorrow night! :) Please remember to bring your friends down to watch w341 and w483 first ever drama performance! I'm sure that your friends will be very touched and impacted by the heartwarming drama that we have :) There'll be food and drinks provided! Let's all get ready for a very great time with our friends and even with the people from Blk 223 who will be coming down as well!

Members who are bringing friends... You can invite them to a special screening of My Hope tomorrow at 530pm before the Block Party :) Most of us has watched it on monday and we think it's really good! So let's go all out to invite our friends and believe they'll be very impacted by the video + drama! Jiayou you guys :D

Also... let's not just stop here, but let's really invite our friends to come for our special Candlelight services this weekend as well as the Christmas services next week! Continue to pray and fast for all the friends that you have pledged and update your Connect group leaders or Rachel if you have any confirmed friends! Let's give our friends the best present this Christmas... and that's Jesus Christ!

For all things work out for the good of those who love God and His purpose! Believe that as we start to sow into our friend's lives, we can surely reap them into the House Of God :)
